Alaska Airlines Flight To San Jose Makes Emergency Landing After Reported Bird Strike

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A flight headed to the Bay Area from Seattle was forced to turn around Thursday night after a bird strike was reported.

According to CBS affiliate KIRO-TV in Seattle, Alaska Airlines Flight 336 departed Sea-Tac Airport for Mineta San Jose at 8:51 p.m. Thursday. Sometime during the flight, the bird strike took place.

The plane returned to the airport after the strike. All 112 passengers and five crewmembers arrived without injury.

According to The Associated Press, the passengers will be taken on another flight to San Jose.
