Actor Michael Ironside Cast In The Next Season of 'The Flash'

(KBCW) – Veteran actor Michael Ironside has been cast in an upcoming epsiode of "The Flash" on the CW. Ironside will take on the role of Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (pictured below) and Lisa Snart/Golden Glider's (played by Peyton List) father Lewis Snart, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Lewis Snart is "a cold-blooded, ruthless career criminal" who returns to Central City from prison and causes some trouble for his kids. The second season of "The Flash" will introduce an "Earth-Two" story line from the DC Universe and will likely bring in a ton of superhero appearances.

Ironside is best known for his movie roles in Top Gun, Starship Troopers, the original Total Recall and recently in X-Men: First Class. His television roles included appearances on Justified, Community and on Smallville where he played General Sam Lane, Lois' father.

The second season of "The Flash" returns on October 6th on KBCWtv/The CW, Tuesdays at 8:00pm
