7-Year-Old Antioch Girl Kidnapped At Gunpoint Found Safe; Suspect In Custody

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- The California Highway Patrol cancelled an Amber Alert for the kidnapping of a 7-year-old girl in Antioch Friday evening now that the kidnap suspect has been located, and the girl has been found safe.

Police found the male suspect with the Natalie Calvo inside his car on 2nd Street in the Antioch Marina. The man was arrested and police managed to safely recover the girl from his car.

The Amber Alert was issued for Alameda, Contra Costa, Sacramento, Solano and San Joaquin counties after the 7-year-old was kidnapped from her home in the 3800 block of Hummingbird Drive Friday by a suspect driving a gold 90s Toyota Camry, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police say the suspect, along with a second man, followed the girl and her mother as they drove home from Walmart, pulled a rifle on the pair in the driveway, grabbed the girl and sped off.

Police say two similar abduction attempts happened on Thursday.
