SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Many of us had given up on seeing another drop of rain or flake of snow fall on Northern California this season, but as forecasts predicted, rain is sprinkling parts of the Bay Area Thursday and the Tahoe area is getting a much-needed snow sighting.

The result? Some images of California than many of us didn't expect to see while we debate mandatory water rationing across the state...
