7 Puppies Found Abandoned In Radio Shack Trash Bin Nursed Back To Health

(KPIX) -- A Lake Tahoe animal shelter is providing a new lease on life to seven puppies found abandoned in a trash bin in Susanville.

The puppies were only a couple days old when they were found behind a Radio Shack in late October. Since then, volunteers at the Pet Network Humane Society in Incline Village have nursed the pups back to health.

The nonprofit was contacted after the animals were taken to a Susanville-area animal shelter, which lacked the staff to care for them.

Now the prognosis for the puppies is good. They are believed to be Labrador mix and they will eventually be put up for adoption.
