5 Cases Of Fresh Dungeness Crab Stolen From San Francisco Whole Foods Store

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Thieves made off with five cases of fresh crab from a Whole Foods store in San Francisco Wednesday.

The Whole Foods on Market Street was waiting for its first delivery of fresh Dungeness crab caught off the San Francisco coast, but it didn't arrive.

The five cases of crab were valued at about $500 were taken off a Whole Foods truck on its way from Potrero Hill to Market Street.

Other Whole Foods stores had enough crab on hand to make sure the Market Street location wasn't left without crab for customers.
