5 Arrested In Shoplifting Enforcement Operation At Suisun City Wal-Mart

SUISUN CITY (CBS SF) -- Five people were arrested at a Wal-Mart store in Suisun City on Friday by plainclothes police officers conducting a shoplifting enforcement operation.

Officers, with help from store loss prevention employees, conducted the operation at the Wal-Mart Supercenter store at 350 Walters Road.

David Faulkenberry, a 28-year-old transient, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, violation of post-release community supervision, petty theft and possession of burglary tools and a controlled substance, police said.

Antoinette Florez, 30, of Vacaville and 30-year-old Jeffrey Phillips of Sacramento were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and petty theft.

Two other people were also arrested on suspicion of petty theft, police said, but did not release their names.

According to police, retail theft and shoplifting are crimes could impact all consumers through higher prices. Police also said they would continue to work collaboratively with Wal-Mart to deter theft through a variety of enforcement and prevention strategies.
