49ers Suspend Radio Broadcaster Ted Robinson For His Comments On Domestic Violence

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The San Francisco 49ers announced they have suspended radio broadcaster Ted Robinson for comments he made on domestic violence.

The team suspended Robinson for two games after his comments made on KNBR Radio Monday.

"The comments made by radio broadcaster Ted Robinson on Monday were offensive and in no way reflect the views of the San Francisco 49ers organization," the team announced in a press release.

Robinson apologized for the comments after he suggested Ray Rice's wife Janay shared some of the responsibility for not speaking up after she was knocked unconscious by the former Ravens player.

"I want to unconditionally apologize for my comments the other day. As a professional communicator, I am responsible for my words. My choice of words was careless and does not reflect my true feelings about domestic violence," he said.
