Morgan Hill Man Arrested For Sexually Abusing Teen Girl

MORGAN HILL (CBS SF) -- A 19-year-old man was arrested and jailed Saturday in the alleged sexual abuse of a 14-year-old girl in Morgan Hill, police said today.

A Morgan Hill police officer on Saturday went to a home in east Morgan Hill on a report of an alleged sexual assault on the girl, according to police.

The officer investigated and then arrested a suspect, Andrew Knight, on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts upon a child. Knight was then booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate whether Knight abused any other children and are encouraging parents to talk to their children concerning the dangers of social media, according to police.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the case to call Detective Sara Alanis of the Morgan Hill Police Department at (408) 779-2101 or phone an anonymous tip line at (408) 947-7867.
