4 Burglary Suspects Arrested Following Pursuit In Vacaville

VACAVILLE (CBS SF) – A man and three juveniles from Sacramento suspected of attempting a residential burglary were arrested Sunday evening after a pursuit, Vacaville police said.

A neighbor called police around 7:30 p.m. to report four males were at a side gate of a residence in the 1100 block of Vintage Court in Vacaville. The males left in a black Mercedes-Benz as police were responding to the call.

Officers spotted the Mercedes heading south on Vine Street and it intentionally swerved and almost collided with a police car in an attempt to escape, police said.

During a pursuit, the occupants of the Mercedes threw a loaded stolen handgun and ammunition out of the vehicle, police said.

Police pursued the Mercedes on East Monte Vista Avenue and onto westbound Interstate Highway 80. They were eventually able to disable it with a spike strip and a pursuit intervention maneuver on Cherry Glen Road at Rivera Road. A rifle and more ammunition were found in the Mercedes, police said.

Police arrested Martell Fulton and the three juveniles for attempting to strike the patrol car and for firearms violations.
