Shooting In San Francisco's Mission District Leaves One Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was shot in San Francisco's Mission District early Tuesday morning, a police spokesman said.

Two groups, involving about 15 people, fought each other near 19th and Mission Streets at about 2 a.m. when someone pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the leg, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

The victim was taken to General Hospital for treatment his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

The shooting suspect, believed to be a man in his 20s, had not been found as of this morning, police said.
