3 Suspects Caught Casing Cars By Fremont Police Arrested For Attempted Burglary

FREMONT (CBS SF) -- Alert police detectives with the Fremont Police Department assisted officers in arresting three men who were attempting to burglarize a car Thursday in a Fremont parking lot, according to police.

A group of detectives were at the Pacific Commons Shopping Center located at 43918 Boscell Road when a BMW 745 with paper plates drove by in the parking lot, police said.

The three occupants in the BMW appeared to casing vehicles. The trio then exited their vehicle and allegedly began burglarizing another vehicle, according to police.

Back-up officers were called to the scene and surprised the suspects, catching them in the act, police said.

The three suspects, two 27-year-olds and a 26-year-old, were taken into custody, according to police.
