3 Hurt In Richmond Drive-By Shooting

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- Three men were injured in a drive-by shooting in Richmond Friday night, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to an incident in the 300 block of Maine Avenue at 6:33 p.m. after the department's ShotSpotter System recorded 17 gunshots.

On arrival, the victims had already been transported to a hospital by an unknown party.

As of 10 p.m., two of the victims were listed in serious but stable condition. The third victim is in good condition, according to police.

Investigators believe that a suspect was driving a black Chevrolet Camaro west on Maine Avenue when someone in the vehicle began firing at the three victims as they stood outside.

The Camaro fled the scene heading north on South Third Street, according to police.
