3-Alarm Solano County Fire Extinguished After Burning 100 Acres

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE (CBS SF) -- The three-alarm 100-acre Hastings Fire in Solano County is out and the scene was cleared and secured Wednesday afternoon, a county fire dispatcher said.

The scene of the fire off State Highway 113 and Hastings Road was secured at 1:23 p.m., the dispatcher said.

The fire was reported at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday about five miles from Travis Air Force Base. It burned in marshy, swampy areas, Dixon Fire Chief Aaron McAlister said.

McAlister said he left the scene at midnight.

No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged, but some

structures were temporarily threatened, McAlister said.
