23-Year-Old Man Shot And Killed In Richmond

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Richmond on Friday night, police said.

He was identified as Richmond resident Robert Jr. Griffin, according to police.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert activated in the 3900 block of Potrero Avenue near Carlson Boulevard around 10:20 p.m., Richmond police Lt. Andre Hill said.

Arriving officers found the victim, later identified as Griffin, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Hill said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Hill.

No suspects have been identified as of Saturday morning.
