22-Year Old Man Shot Dead In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating the murder of a 22-year-old man who was shot dead in Oakland's San Antonio neighborhood on Friday, a police officer said Sunday.

Officers responded around 3:55 p.m. Friday to reports of a shooting at a house in the 2000 block of 22nd Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, Oakland police Officer Frank Bonifacio said.

Emergency responders attempted to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not yet released his name but said he is an Oakland resident.

Homicide investigators responded to the home a short time later to being an investigation. No suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder.
