2 People Burned In Richmond Residential Complex Fire That Damaged 3 Units

RICHMOND (CBS SF) -- Two people were sent to the hospital Sunday morning after a fire broke out in a residential complex in Richmond.

Fire officials said a woman and a man in their 30s to 40s were transported to the hospital with burns.

Officials said the woman had burns to about 40 percent of her body, and the man had burns to his arms. Their conditions weren't immediately available.

Firefighters responded at 3:57 a.m. to a fire at a two-story, four-unit residential complex in the 5300 block of McBryde Avenue.

Officials said the fire has been knocked down, but three of the units were heavily damaged in the blaze.

There were no other reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
