2.7 Magnitude Quake Hits Southeast Of Livermore

LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.7 struck about 5 southeast of Livermore Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey was reporting.

The quake was reported at 11:28 a.m. in an area about 5 miles southeast of Livermore and 9 miles east-southeast of Pleasanton, according to the USGS.

The temblor had a depth of roughly 2.7 miles, according to the USGS.

More than three dozen people in the area reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS website.
