$18,000 Stolen From Menlo Park Supermarket During Armed Heist, 4 Suspects Sought

MENLO PARK (CBS SF) – Police in Menlo Park are searching four armed masked men suspected of attacking a supermarket cashier and stealing around $18,000.
According to a statement police, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the El Rancho Market on the 800 block of Willow Road around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said the suspects demanded money from the cash register and beat a clerk who was unable to open a cash register. The suspects then moved onto the store's check cashing counter.

Robbers were able to get into the safe, where most of the money was locked up. Then, they ran off into the darkness.

Surveillance cameras are everywhere at the market, but so far they haven't helped lead to any suspects.

All four suspects are described as men standing about 5'10 – 6' tall, wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks. The suspects were wearing black gloves, jeans and tennis shoes.
