15 Car Pileup Shuts Down 3 Lanes On Highway 101

SANTA CLARA (CBS SF) -- A multi-vehicle collision has closed three lanes on U.S. Highway 101 North in Santa Clara County Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers responded to a report of a collision on northbound Highway 101 south of Coyote Creek Golf Drive around 2:30 p.m., CHP officials said.

About 15 cars are involved in the accident, according to the CHP.

Traffic between Dunne and Bailey Avenues is very slow.

A Sig-alert was issued around 2:50 p.m. and there was no estimated time of when lanes will reopen, CHP officials said.

As of 4:15 p.m. there was no word as to whether anyone was injured.
