10 Reasons You Can't Beat AT&T Park For Major League Baseball

KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales answers the questions you never get to ask on-air.

Q: Hey Roberta, saw you at the Athletics game Sunday, but I heard you on TV saying you are attending the Giants game today. Which one is it? Are you an A's fan or Giants? - Ron Tate, San Francisco

A: Hi Ron! I am a fan of baseball. Ever since I was old enough to "play ball." I LOVE baseball! So I attend both A's and Giants games. But to be honest, I do enjoy American League baseball better than National League. Just my personal preference.

I love home openers. There's so much hope, so many dreams, so little doubt this will be the Year of "break outs" or perfect games. Making plans for afternoon day games, day dreaming, melting in the summer sun, romanticizing on what can be and what should be.

As an aficionado of baseball, I have attended baseball games in just about every ballpark in the country. So with that said, I can honestly say, AT&T Park is my favorite for a number of reasons.

1. It is the prettiest ballpark with the BEST PANORAMIC views in all of baseball!
2. Amazing amenities
3. Fan base
4. Veggie and turkey hot dogs (I don't eat red meat so this is FABULOUS!)
5. Variety of FOOD!
6. The park has a hidden bowling alley
7. The veggie garden
8. Walk of Fame
9. China Basin for fans to gather and listen to the game via radio
10. Splash hits into McCovey Cove

What other parks do I love? Oriole Park at Camden Yards, The Mets' Citi Field and the Padres' Petco Park are the three ballparks immediately coming to mind. However, you will never forget Red Sox fans spiritedly singing "Sweet Caroline" in the middle of the 8th inning at Fenway Park in Boston. And no one sings "Take Me Out To The Ball Game" like the Cub fans at Wrigley Field.

However, there is no place like home when attending a Giants game. Today will mark my 15th Giants home opener as I report for our Noon Newscast on KPIX 5. I hope you can join us! Meanwhile, GO GIANTS!

I would love to hear from you! Please send weather questions, observations and photos to me, Gonzales@kpix.cbs.com and I look forward to hearing from you!
