1 Killed In Saturday Morning Crash On I-880 In Hayward

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- Interstate Highway 880 has reopened following a fatal crash early Saturday morning in Hayward.

The crash was first reported at 5:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near the Tennyson Road off-ramp, according to the CHP.

A Sig-alert was issued at 5:50 a.m. due to lanes blocked as a result of the crash. The Sig-alert was cancelled at 7:39 a.m., and all lanes were reopened, according to the CHP.

The coroner was dispatched to the scene of the crash, but further information about the victim was not immediately available.
