Pleasanton Woman Killed In Shooting Along San Francisco's Embarcadero; 1 Arrested

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- One person was taken into custody after a shooting on San Francisco's Embarcadero left a Pleasanton woman dead.

Police responded to reports of a shooting along the city's waterfront shortly after 6:30 p.m. and found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound.

The shooter allegedly fled the area, but was caught by police near Pier 38.

Police confirmed that the woman was a 31-year-old Pleasanton resident.

Northbound lanes of the Embarcadero were shut down in the area near the Mission Street while the investigation was conducted, and traffic was snarled due to the closure.
