1 Hurt In Shooting Near Oakland's Lake Merritt

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One person was expected to survive after being shot near Lake Merritt in Oakland late Friday night, a police officer said Saturday.

The shooting was reported around 11:55 p.m. in the 100 block of 12th Street, according to Officer R. Gallinatti.

The victim went to an area hospital to be treated for gunshot wounds and was in stable condition, the officer said.

No further information was available and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
