The fire was first reported at 6:01 a.m. at 525 S. Ninth Street, according fire Capt. Mitch Matlow.

At least one unit sustained fire damage, while about 10 others sustained water or mechanical damage, Matlow said.

The number of people displaced is currently unknown, as fire officials and the building's managers are assessing the extent of the damage sustained to the units, according to Matlow.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation but appears to be accidental, Matlow said.
