Youth Pastor Allegedly Found With Girl, 13, In Backseat Of Car

RUNNING SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a Southern California youth pastor was arrested on suspicion of child sex abuse after being caught with a 13-year-old girl in the back seat of his car.

The San Bernardino Sun newspaper reports sheriff's investigators are searching for other possible victims of Yanhao Ren.

The 24-year-old was taken into custody Monday in San Bernardino County after California Highway Patrol officers found him with the girl parked on a turnout along State Route 330.

Authorities determined Ren met the girl when she attended the Evangelical Formosan Church of Rowland Heights' youth program, where he is a pastor.

Investigators say Ren engaged in several sexual acts with the girl over several months.

Ren is scheduled to make a court appearance Thursday. It wasn't immediately known if he has a lawyer.
