Yolo County Volunteer Firefighter Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child

YOLO COUNTY (CBS13) — A volunteer firefighter is facing multiple counts of sexual assault on a young child.

Because of the seriousness of the alleged crime, a Yolo County judge has set 64-year-old Xavier Mancilla's bail at $10 million.

Mancilla has been charged with multiple counts of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 10 after his January arrest.

Yolo County investigators aren't saying where the crimes allegedly took place.

Mancilla volunteered at the Yolo Fire Station.

Neighbors say he's lived in the quiet Yolo County community for years and was always considered polite.

"He's a nice guy. A very nice guy. I wouldn't ever thought he would be the one to do that," said neighbor Suzy Grant.
