Woman's Burned Body Found In Orchard Near Ceres
CERES (CBS13) – Detectives say the burned body of a woman was found in an orchard just outside of Ceres Monday afternoon.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, a body was found by a person out walking near an orchard along the 4300 block of Blaker Road. Detectives used a helicopter to examine the area an originally classified the incident as a suspicious death.
Wednesday, detectives announced they are now investigating the incident as a homicide and revealed that the body was found burned.
The body has been identified as that of 25-year-old Modesto resident Lauren Grace London.
Detectives are still trying to figure out if she died at the orchard or if her body was taken to the area.
