Woman Tells Police She Jumped From Kidnapper's Car

SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Sparks police say a woman told them she jumped out of a moving vehicle to get away from a man who kidnapped her.

Authorities say they found the woman with a head injury at a gas station about 4 a.m. Thursday. She told officers she had been abducted and taken northbound on Vista Blvd. from Interstate 80 before jumping out near the gas station.

The suspect is described as a black man named Damon who frequents Sparks-area casinos and uses the nickname "DG." He's described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds.

Police say Damon had been driving a red Chevy Impala rental car with California plates, and was accompanied by another man.

Sparks police are not releasing the name of the woman.
