Southern California Woman Set On Fire; Husband Sought

MOORPARK, Calif. (AP) — Southern California authorities are looking for a man they say poured gasoline on his wife and set her on fire.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Juan Soria Hernandez is wanted for investigation of attempted murder.

Authorities say a 29-year-old woman call 911 around 4 a.m. Monday and reported that her husband had attacked her.

Deputies found her at a home in the Moorpark area.

KABC-TV says the woman also managed to flag down a power crew working nearby. One worker, James Mireles, says she had bad burns to her head, face, arms and upper body. He says her three young children were terrified.

She's hospitalized, and her name hasn't been released.

Her husband is believed to be driving a white Ford F250 truck with the license plate 86644S1.
