Woman Leads Police On Chase Through Downtown Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A woman is facing multiple felony charges this morning after allegedly leading Sacramento police on a lengthy car chase overnight.

CBS13's captured the pursuit on camera as the suspect wound her way through downtown streets.

Police say she was wanted for robbing a North Sacramento drug store and then refusing to pull over.

Her car collided with at least three police cars during the chase – setting off the airbag in one officer's car.

Police used a spike strip to disable the vehicle, which eventually stopped at the intersection of 15th and X Streets.

The suspect initially refused to exit the car, but eventually surrendered peacefully.

"It's a good resolve as far as nobody was injured, no officers were injured, and no one in the community was injured," said Michele Gigante with the Sacramento Police Department.

Police believe there was a second female suspect in the drug store robbery that is still on the loose.
