Woman Killed, Man Severely Injured In Florin Road Accident

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A woman was killed and a man is recovering at a hospital after they were hit by a car in South Sacramento.

The accident happened at around 7 p.m. on Florin Road near Stockton Boulevard. Investigators say the driver isn't facing any charges.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a Jeep Cherokee was driving eastbound on Florin Road when it hit two people standing in the road.

The woman was killed at the scene and the man was transported with severe injuries.

Officers say the two weren't using a crosswalk when they were hit.
