Man arrested in Cincinnati linked to Sacramento homicide

SACRAMENTO — A Citrus Heights man wanted in a woman's death in Sacramento's Oak Park neighborhood was arrested this week in Ohio, police said Wednesday.

Sacramento police said it recently obtained an arrest warrant for Kenneth Wade, 23, in connection with the death of 23-year-old Roneisha Dorthy Monae Howell, whose body was found in a home on W Street in Sacramento on the night of April 14.

Howell's death was initially labeled suspicious before developing into a homicide investigation the next day.

Sacramento police said then that officers were seeking people of interest in connection to the case but did not identify a suspect.

After the arrest warrant was obtained, Wade was located and arrested in Cincinnati on Monday, May 19, police said.

He is set to be transported back to Sacramento, where he will be booked into the county jail.
