Woman Caught On Surveillance Video Throwing Dog On Ground In Fairfield Arrested

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — A woman accused of throwing a dog in a surveillance video that's gone viral has been arrested in Vallejo.

Brandi Chin faces charges of animal cruelty in the incident on Pennsylvania Street in Fairfield.

In the video, a woman appears to be holding a small dog by the neck, then tosses it across the pavement. After the horrific act, a man walks into frame, scoops up the little dog and walks toward the woman accused of animal abuse. Within seconds, several people race to the parking lot and there appears to be a lot of pushing and shoving going on.

The dog, Benny the pug, was turned over by a third party to Solano County Humane Animal Services. He has been returned to his owner, the man seen on the video picking up the dog after it was thrown.
