MODESTO (CBS13) - A Modesto woman is accused of stealing a deputy's car at the scene of a crash.

On Monday around 10:30 p.m., a Stanislaus sheriff's deputy was reportedly helping police with traffic control at N. Riverside Road and Yosemite Boulevard, at the scene of a crash, when a woman allegedly got inside of the deputy's unlocked car and drove off.

Armenta was booked into jail on the charge of vehicle theft. No items were taken from the deputy's car.
