Woman Accused In String Of Burglaries At Roseville Seniors' Apartment Complex

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) - Police have arrested a Sacramento woman accused of burglarizing several seniors' apartments in Roseville.

Staff of the Sierra Regency complex on Madden Lane notified police after, they allege, a woman went into residents' units while they slept and stole cash, bank cards, jewelry and prescription medication, according to a Roseville Police Department statement.

Police say a total of 16 separate burglaries occurred at the complex between July and December. In at least one case, a resident's bank card was reportedly used to make fraudulent purchases.

On December 30, police served a warrant on the south Sacramento home of Haleigh Ann Carrigan, 21, a relative of the resident at the complex, and found stolen property and other evidence allegedly connecting her to the burglaries.

Carrigan was arrested on charges of first-degree burglary, elder abuse, and possession of stolen property.

Police say they are looking into similar incidents that may have occurred at other senior living facilities in Roseville. Anyone living in these facilities who think they were burglarized are asked to contact police.
