Woman, 46, Allegedly Threw Hot Grease At Stockton Officers
STOCKTON (CBS13) – A woman is under arrest after she allegedly threw hot grease at officers, including a K9, police say.
The incident happened along the 8000 block of Montgomery Avenue. Stockton police say officers responded to the scene just after 11 p.m. Monday after someone reported that a woman was trying to set the kitchen on fire.
At the scene, officers contacted the suspect – 46-year-old Elsarie Deloney – and saw that a pot was smoking on the stove.
Officers say Deloney picked up the pot. The officers tried to talk her down, but she allegedly wouldn't listen.
The officers used a Taser on Deloney as she was threw hot grease onto officers, including a K9, police say.
Police say none of the officers were significantly hurt. Deloney was arrested and booked at San Joaquin County Jail. She is facing charges of assault on an officer, assault on a police K9 and resisting arrest.
