Wildfire Burning West Of Susanville In Lassen County

LASSEN COUNTY (CBS13) - Firefighters are battling a large wildfire in far Northern California.

The fire is burning off Willard Creek Road, west of Susanville.

Cal Fire says the fire started late Sunday morning and prompted evacuations in the Gold Run, Hidden Hills Drive and Cheney Creek drainage east of Devil's Corral. An evacuation advisory is in effect for residents in the Susan Hills areas south of Susanville.

More than 600 structures are threatened, Cal Fire says. As of Monday, the fire has burned 2,500 acres and is 5 percent contained.
