Whitney High Hosts Special Olympics Spring Games

ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Over 1,000 athletes competed in the spring games for the Special Olympics on Saturday.

The games took place at Whitney High School in Rocklin as students competed in swimming, track and field.

Sacramento police officers were also there to support – especially one athlete, Karissa, who is an honorary officer for the department.

Karissa has won over 50 medals in swimming with the Special Olympics
