Whatever Happened To Two Local Sex Offenders, And Man Convicted Of Killing Toddler?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — These are high-profile criminal cases CBS13 viewers have asked about that may have slipped from the headlines.

ROBERT KILL

The former San Juan Unified School District teacher was charged with three counts of lewd acts with a child under the age of 14. He was sentenced to eight years and eight months in state prison, and he's required to register as a sex offender for life.

DR. SCOTT TAKASUGI

Well, make that former doctor. Takasugi had to surrender his medical license after pleading no contest to two felony counts of sexual exploitation of a patient by a physician.

The Sacramento County District Attorney's Offices says the crimes involved two different victims.

Takasugi was sentenced to three years and eight months in state prison in November 2009 and has been released, but he can't practice medicine and must register as a sex offender.

LEN RAY WILLEFORD

The man accused of killing an 18-month-old boy in 1992 is still in prison. Willeford's most recent parole request was denied and he won't be eligible for parole until 2020.
