Weird Weather: Wet Wednesday Offers Break Between 100-Plus Degree Days In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Just days after Sacramento crossed the 100-degree mark for the first time, it's poised to make another run, but not without an oddly cool day in between.

It's not the sight we're used to seeing during the summer in Sacramento—people carrying umbrellas and avoiding soaked outdoor seating.

In East Sacramento, cars were weaving through wet roads around noon. It was a similar sight in Elk Grove.

Besides the rain, it was also more humid than usual.

Just two days after high temperatures in Sacramento hit 105, it was a brisk 71 degrees on Wednesday—two degrees higher than Monday's low temperature.

But don't expect this to last. Temperatures are expected to march quickly toward 100, with a high of 104 predicted for Friday.
