VIDEO: Jerry Rice Goes Undercover As Lyft Driver, No One Recognizes Him

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) - Are 49ers fans so removed from the team's glory years that they can't recognize one of San Francisco's all-time greatest players?

That idea was seemingly put to the test in a video posted by ride-hailing company Lyft ahead of Super Bowl 50.

The video shows Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice picking up some unsuspecting passengers around the Bay Area, even asking some of them who is their favorite team.

All the people in the video, despite some even saying "I grew up as a Niner ... My whole family has been Niners families. I have photos of me dressed up as Niners," don't recognize the legendary Rice until he finally tells them.

In case you've somehow forgotten, Rice won three Super Bowls with the 49ers and is NFL's all-time leading receiver in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
