VIDEO: Burglar Tries To Steal Change Machine At Roseville Laundromat
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Police are looking for a burglar who attempted to steal a change machine from a Roseville laundromat.
The whole incident was caught on Paradise Laundry's new surveillance cameras. A suspect can be seen smashing out the front window, then tying a rope to the coin machine to try and drag it out. They were unsuccessful.
Deborah Dower, owner Paradise Laundry, said she watched the burglary go down from her home. She doesn't understand how the suspect would have gotten away with the heavy machine.
"[It's] very heavy. I don't know how they were going to expect to actually drag it across the parking lot," Dower said. "And then how they were going to get in it?"
Security cameras at the business were changed to high definition one year ago.
The suspect drove away in a Dodge Caravan that didn't have a license plate.
