Vehicle Crashes Into East Sacramento Post Office Injuring 3 People

EAST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A vehicle crashed into a post office building Tuesday afternoon injuring three people, according to Sacramento Fire.

The crash happened near the corner of Alhambra Boulevard and Stockton Boulevard. The three patients are being treated for injuries, firefighters said.

Police said the driver of a Honda Civic made was apparently trying to park in a handicap space but hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. The elderly driver and two pedestrians suffered minor injuries.

Officials are assessing the building for structural damage. The building will be closed for the rest of the day because the doors cannot be secured due to the damage.
