Vandals Tag School With Pro-Trump Messages On Cinco De Mayo

LOS BANOS (CBS13) - Graffiti featuring pro-Donald Trump messages was discovered all over a Central California school on Thursday.

Trump's name and some of his slogans, like "Make America Great Again" and "Build A Wall" were tagged all over Los Banos High School. School officials and police believe the taggers struck during the early morning hours on May 5.

The district's assistant superintendent suggested it was possibly more than a coincidence that the taggers struck on Cinco de Mayo.

"Just a day or two ago that we found out that he is most likely going to be the Republican candidate," Paul Enos told CBS47. "But having it be the night before Cinco De Mayo is a kind of too coincidental."

Custodians were able to remove most of the graffiti before students got to class.

Los Banos police are investigating the incident. The vandals were caught on surveillance video, school officials say, and are believed to be students.
