UOP Frat House Evacuated After Electrical Fire

STOCKTON (CBS13) - An electrical problem forced the evacuation of a UOP fraternity house on Tuesday morning.

The fire happened at Pike Kappa Alpha on Fulton Street and Pacific Avenue. Luckily one of the fraternity brothers smelled smoke and got everyone out.

Eventually the fraternity brothers were allowed back in. There were smoke alarms in the home, but they did not go off.

Campus police and fire are now going to check smoke detectors at other Greek houses to make sure they're working.
