Despondent Knife-Wielding Man Detained By Sacramento Police

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man accused of wielding a knife has been detained by police.
On Monday morning, police were sent to the 4700 block of 34th Street in Sacramento where a man, who was described as despondent, was carrying a knife.
When they arrived, police saw the man coming out of a house armed with the weapon.
After trying to make contact with the man, but getting no response, an officer shot the man with a stun gun, allowing them to take the man into custody.
Update: Area is clear, subject transported to local area hospital with minor injuries. No officers injured during the incident.
