UC Davis Selects New Football Coach

DAVIS (CBS13) -- UC Davis has announced the hiring of Dan Hakwins as the Aggies' new football coach.

Hawkins is a UC Davis alum and comes to the school after being an analyst at ESPN, coach at Boise State and coach at the University of Colorado.

Hawkins was selected as the new coach just a week after the school parted ways with Ron Gould. Gould was let go after four straight losing seasons. Gould was fired just a week ago on November 21st.

Hawkins will be introduced at a press conference Tuesday morning.
