UPDATE: Two People Shot By Officers Around Fairfield Walmart

FAIRFIELD (CBS13) — Two people were shot in officer-involved shootings near a Fairfield Walmart on Thursday.

One person was shot at the Walmart at 2701 North Texas, while another was shot across the street a half an hour later.

Federal authorities were looking for an attempted murder suspect at Walmart. That suspect was armed and exchanged fire with officers, and he was hit.

Then 30 minutes later, another suspect somehow related to the same investigation was at an apartment across the street. After he pulled a gun, officers shot him.

Both were taken to the hospital, where their condition is unknown.

No officers or bystanders were injured in the incidents.
