Turlock police investigating deadly collision involving train

Several railroad crossings are closed in Turlock after a deadly collision involving a train and a pedestrian Tuesday morning.

Turlock police say the incident happened near Golden State Boulevard and Fulkerth Road.

Officers confirmed that the incident was fatal.

Due to the investigation, police say multiple railroad crossings south of Fulkerth Road -- Golden State at Fulkerth, Front at Broadway, and Front at Canal -- are blocked. 

Police say they expect the train to start moving again by late Tuesday morning.
